A decade after launching an online sustainability-focussed media site Eco Warrior Princess, founder Jennifer Nini had an overwhelming desire to get offline and create a physical space that complemented EWP’s online space, somewhere she could get her hands dirty and that would inspire people to reconnect with nature and the land in more tangible ways.

A Labour of Love

In August 2021, enlisting the help of her partner Ben McGuire, they turned unused, weedy and shrubby slopes into flat terraces which have since been transformed into flower fields.

And thus Flower Farmstead was born.

Where Flower Farmstead is Located

Set amongst rolling hills and forests in the Gympie region on a 120-acre property, Flower Farmstead is an ode to conscious farming and encompasses the sustainability values of its founders.

Our Key Focus

We offer organic and seasonal blooms and foliage to the retail and wholesale markets. Our main customers include florists, brides, event planners, interior stylists and market customers in the Gympie and Sunshine Coast regions.

Future Plans

From the outset, we had agritourism in our sights: farm tours, growing workshops and sustainability-focused events were always on the cards for us.

As infrastructure is still being built and because the farmstead is also a private home, Flower Farmstead is not open to the public.

We do plan to hold farm open days in the future so please sign up to our email newsletter or follow us on Instagram to be notified of dates.
